This module was aimed at integrating  knowledge and skills gained in open and flexible learning environments, digital media applications and communication and consultancy practice through  practical application in a workplace setting. This intended to combine the content of the three basic pillars of the programme i.e. Open and Flexible Learning Environments/e-learning environments, Digital Media Applications and Communication, Consultancy and Change. This was designed to achieve through a developmental project that involved the practical application of the knowledge and skills gained, combined with a critical evaluation of the process and product.
The Work Process of the Project Studies Module was based on three strands  through the entire module. These were:
  1. Involvement in the Workplacethrough discussion and collaboration with the Workplace Mentor and the Project Supervisor. This work will be presented as a Project Report focussing on organisational needs and appropriate change (or potential change) and whose primary target audience is the Workplace.
     
  2. Reflection and Analysison the project undertaken in the workplace with reference to appropriate academic literature related to theories of development in the context of e-learning, consultancy and change. This reflection will evaluate the learning process.
     
  3. A Dissemination Activity Plan that takes as its authentic context the scenario of designing and planning an activity that will engage and inform a target audience.
